"Let's roll and stroll!" as Rowan says....
Roslyn, WA. Set of the TV show Northern Exposure.
Roslyn, WA. I love the weathered wood.
Me, Dani and Eugene enjoying a cold one at the Roslyn Brewery.
The friendly barmaid.
Just over the Columbia, Wild Horse Monument.
The mighty Columbia.
Just outside Schrag, WA.
Rolling Thunder Bar, Odessa
The public pool was open, free and delicious after hours of riding in 100º heat.
Snakey came with me. Here he is lounging by the pooll.
Some of Odessa's interesting architecture.
Chief's. The only game in town for dinner at that hour.
At the Odessa Brewery.
A peak inside the operation.
We camped in the public park in the middle of town.
A really nice spot. Oh--there's Snakey, looking over the top of the tent! By the way the tent--a Hilleberg Akto--was a loan from Beau Gunderson. Thanks Beau!
Complete with picnic shelter.
The Bayern Brewery in Missoula. Snakey is enjoying the stop too.
Bob's friend Charlie owns the Big Dipper. I had a double scoop--black licorice and cardamom. Excellent ice cream!
Big Dipper Ice Cream, run by Charlie, a friend of Bob's.
Dani, Eugene and me took a dip in the Clark Fork at Kona Bridge. VERY cold, but so nice after a long hot ride!
We camped behind the garage at Bob's sister's house in Missoula.
We went to Charlie's birthday party. Little did we know how appropriate the Evel Kneivel wine would be....
Practically everyone at Charlie's party arrived on two wheels--mostly pedal-powered. Later on someone jumped a Surly mountain bike over a fire pit wearing a gorilla suit...

We had breakfast at the Ox in Missoula. Note the gun case....
I'm probably uploading mobile photos....
The Ox. Apparently a venerable Missoula institution.
I visited this town 33 years ago, and photographed it....though I couldn't find the same building.
Eugene suits up, just south of Harrison, MT.
We arrive at Henrys Lake at the start of the Nez Perce Rally. Unfortunately, shortly after this I took a ride in an ambulance to Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg, which ended my Nez aspirations for this year.

Instead, spent a day and a half in the ICU being "observed," and then took the Salt Lake Express to SLC to fly home.
The landscape on the trip to SLC was gorgeous. (This rest-stop photo doesn't do it justice.)
Bizzare colors of the Great Salt Lake.
Some industrial process perhaps....
I wanted to be riding down there.
Looks like another planet.
